The Parlor Table balances formal geometry with natural organic form. Sited within an oval room, surrounded by elegant figural wood grain and a suspended stone ceiling, the table sits to balance systems of rigid formal cues with natural imperfections within nature. A vegetable-based uv-stable resin marries two consecutive slabs of Black Walnut, suspended by a custom steel base that again is derived from a rigid formal composition, but manipulated through industrial processes to allow for comfortable human use.
